What is an Aviation Medical Center?
An Aviation Medical Center (AeMC) is a healthcare facility authorized by DGCA to conduct medical examinations for aviation personnel and candidates. These centers have flight physicians, support staff, and necessary equipment, performing initial and periodic health assessments according to relevant regulations (SHT-MED).

Pre-Examination Preparations
- Appointments must be made in advance.
- Appointments should be scheduled via https://ctm.shgm.gov.tr under "Private Doğan Tıp Merkezi (Dr. Vedat Ertunç)".
- Fasting is required for blood and urine tests (no food after 11:00 PM).
- Documents to bring:
- Identification (ID or Passport)
- One recent photograph (taken within the last year)
- Current health certificate/report (for active personnel)
- Glasses or contact lenses (if applicable)
Examination Procedures
Initial and Periodic Examinations
- Registration between 08:00-08:30 AM.
- Blood and urine tests.
- Breakfast in the cafeteria.
- Tests (ECG, Spirometry, Visual Field, etc.).
- Medical examinations by specialists.
- Usually completed between 12:00-13:00.
- If abnormal results or health concerns are detected, additional tests may be required, which may incur extra charges and extend over additional days.
Special Case Examinations
For special case examinations, please call the center in advance. Staff will coordinate with the relevant department to schedule an appointment based on availability.
Before Your Visit
Ensure that your e-Nabız system is accessible to all physicians. Appointments should be made via https://ctm.shgm.gov.tr under "Private Doğan Tıp Merkezi (Dr. Vedat Ertunç)". A guide is available on the website.
Required Documents
Bring all medical reports and summaries from your treating physician, including surgical history, treatment status, recovery progress, and follow-up information, as they are essential for the evaluation process.
